Carroll graduated from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in April of 2022 and most recently has served as regular Pulpit Supply for Churchville Presbyterian and has also served as a guest preacher at various churches in the Baltimore and Donegal Presbyteries.  Slate Ridge welcomed him as Pastor, beginning January 14, 2024.

Ministry is a second career for Carroll.  He started out as a construction electrician and moved into project management and sales as a young man, spending most of his career in executive sales roles to companies throughout the country and into Canada.

Answering God’s call, he retired early from his professional career and entered seminary.  He brings a lifetime of worldly experiences along with his love of God and desire to minister to everyone.

Linda assumed the role of Secretary of Slate Ridge in January 2019 after retiring from a contracting position at the Edgewood Area of APG.  She resides in Delta and is a 50-year member of Slateville Presbyterian Church, where she serves as organist and choir director.  The congregation and community may remember that she was one of Eleanor Thompson’s organ students. Being a church secretary was always her post-retirement dream; she is thrilled that God found this job for her.
