Our Nation's Independence Day!   We are So Blessed to live here in this land.  The groundwork for our freedom was laid out by our nation's founding fathers.  Benjamin Franklin (Presbyterian), John Witherspoon (President of the College of New Jersey - now Princeton) and others.  Our nation's framework incorporated some Presbyterian principles... Checks and balances and representatives elected by the people.  Those framers claimed this nation for God.  We must work to "reclaim" this nation for the Lord.  Dare we say that listening to a sermon may not be enough.... we need to Act.  How?  Following the instructions given by Paul in his letter to Timothy:  Pray for our nation and its leaders, Live righteous lives and Let Jesus Shine through us, so that the world can learn of Jesus.
